Am I Allergic to All Types of Fish?
While it is possible, it is very rare to be allergic to all types of fish. Just because you're diagnosed with a fish allergy, doesn't mean you can never eat fish again. Ask your allergist to test you for each fish individually to see if there are any safe options.
-Fish allergies are most common in adults.
-The severity of fish allergies can range from something that is uncomfortable (oral allergy syndrome) to being very severe (anaphylaxis).
-Tuna, salmon, and halibut are the most common fish to be allergic to.
-Unfortunately, when diagnosed with a fish allergy, it is common to never outgrow it.
